Frank Dwyer played professional baseball for five teams in five years before he joined the Reds but it was in Cincinnati where he ceased to be a nomadic player and would hurl for the Reds for seven and a half seasons.

As a Red, Dwyer would go 133 and 100 with a pair of 20 Win seasons.  A fixture in the Reds rotation through the 1890’s Dwyer was the type of Pitcher who could not dazzle you with his stuff but did enough to keep his club into contention in each game.
