One of the more recognized Catchers in Major League Baseball through the bulk of his career A.J. Pierzynski was also one of the more notorious players in the game.

Pierzynski was not a favorite among opponents but this was a tenacious player who did whatever he could to win.  While it can be argued that he never had a spectacular offensive season this is still a two time All Star who is one of only ten Catchers to accumulate 2,000 Hits.  The zenith of his career was in 2005 when he was a large part of the Chicago White Sox’ World Series Championship.
