We never saw the entire Russian band, Fuck Your Yankee Blue Jeans, with the exception of their lead singer; who happened to be the cousin of Jay of the View Askew Universe. He gave us a brief version of his song, Berseker, with the following lyrics:
“MY LOVE FOR YOU IS LIKE A TRUCK BERSERKER!
WOULD YOU LIKE SOME MAKING FUCK? BERSERKER!

Before Jared Leto entered into a fruitless Rock career, he “led” a band in the brief but much acclaimed TV show, “My So Called Life”. We can’t say that we remember a lot about the program, but we don’t recall much about Leto’s actual band (30 Seconds to Mars) either.

If you are going to have a movie about music, you still need bad guys right? In Eminem’s quasi-autobiographical film, 8 Mile, the “bad guys” were the Battle Rap group, “Tha Free World”. This group not only beat B. Rabbit with their lyrics, but with their fists. To nobody’s surprise, they lose at the end, but performed their role well. If B. Rabbit gets in, could their “evil” opponent follow after?

One of the stars of the “Playtone” label was Freddy Fredrickson, whose signature hit “Mr. Downtown” was a catchy tune that was half charm and half swarm. Somehow, we think if we were alive in that time period and this was a real song; this would be a guilty pleasure; and perhaps one we would want to make a bad private eye show around.
