213. Nick Drake

It is very common in pop culture for entertainers to become more popular in death. In the case of Nick Drake, he has elevated to cult status which is many levels higher than the anonymity he had when he was alive.

People today are still discovering the troubled and beautiful lyrics of Nick Drake. His series of albums unveiled music rich with somber introspection and textured arrangements. To some critics, Drake’s albums represented the high water mark of the British Folk Rock scene. As his profile continues to rise in death, it is not impossible for him to somehow find his way into the Hall, though it has to be wondered if he were even alive if he would have ever cared.
