gold star for USAHOF

Not in Hall of Fame News

Well gang, the Hall of Fame Class of 2011 was announced and with a group this loaded it is hard to say there were any surprises or snubs. Our top two ranked football players, #1 Marshall Faulk & #2 Deion Sanders were inducted on their first year of eligibility.  Our #4 candidate, Shannon Sharpe was also selected making us wonder who will have the most colorful speech; Sanders or Sharpe. Our Number #10 Selection, Richard Dent will enter as the star this year's class as the star on the defensive side of the ball.  We are certain that Bears fans…
Does 240 Wins make a Hall of Fame Career? Probably not, but there should be little doubt that Pettitte carved himself a nice career and is retiring with some fairly nice statistics. His 240 wins is paired with only 138 losses leaving him a .638 win percentage, which is 9th overall in Major League History. Pettitte also retires as the games's all time win leader in the Post Season, of which he netted five World Series Rings. The three time All Star, also whiffed 2,251 career batters. With that said, detractors have reasons to sneer. Playing for powerful Yankees teams…

CJ Ramone Video

Special thanks to one of our members for shooting this video and passing this along....Check out Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, CJ Ramone explaining why our new number one selection, Rush belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If industry respect is important, should Rush not be in? [yt]MvaWflzhS4c[/yt]
Well gang we have finally reached the point where we are taking the main list that we are known for and have been forced to revise it. With the selection of Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Tom Waits and Darlene Love, five new spots automatically opened. With votes tabulated, from us and from you; Rush has overtaken Kraftwerk and are this year's number one selection on our Rock and Roll List. In addition, we would also drop some from the original 500, in favor of the new batch of eligible artists. Three of which (Guns N' Roses, Soundgarden and…
Check back as we are in the process of revamping our extensive Rock and Roll section. We are removing the recent inductees, and adding those now eligible for the upcoming year. We look forward to unveiling the new list shortly!!!!

Don Kirshner 1934-2011

Today the music world lost Don Kirshner who passed away of heart failure. Kirshner was a music producer who was known in the industry as "The Man with the Golden Ear" and was instrumental in discovering many Singers and Songwriters. Perhaps, to most of us, Kirshner was important for the producing of "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert" Television Series, which featured the top Rock and Roll acts of the day. Although Kirshner was mocked for his deadpan delivery as the program's host, Rock fans were thrilled to see the biggest stars of the day actually perform their music as opposed to…

Trevor Hoffman Retires

With a Major League leading 601 career saves, Trevor Hoffman is calling it a career. There is a very good chance that this is a mark that will be broken soon, as Mariano Rivera stands 41 saves behind and has not yet shown any signs of slowing down. Whether or not Hoffman's record is broken he had a career that few can match. Hoffman was a seven time All Star who twice led the League in Saves, and finished second five times. He spent sixteen of his nineteen years with the San Diego Padres and twice was the runner up…
Our #3 Selection for the WWE Hall of Fame, Shawn Michaels was announced this evening as the first inductee to the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame Class. This should not come as a surprise to anyone as he retired this past Wrestlemania and left in good standing with the WWE. We will not remove Michaels just yet from our rankings, as we will await the next group of inductees, but rest assured rankings will be altering soon. Congratulations Shawn!

New Logo!

As you have seen, The Notinhalloffame logo is made up of four images, representing Rock and Roll, Baseball, Hockey and the WWE. Initially, we selected Alice Cooper to be the musical representative. With his impending induction, we are removing Alice from the logo. In its place, we have selected the Canadian triumvirate of Rush who has a strong contingent of fans pushing for their induction. Who will be removed next due to their induction?
