Carlos Delgado officially called it a career, and we here at notinhalloffame are wondering just side of the bubble he is on. The three time Silver Slugger Award Winner belted 473 Home Runs and drove in 1,512 RBIs over his career, which are impressive numbers....though not so much in the steroid era. Now this is where it gets interesting for us. Delgado's numbers were not the same as other power hitting first baseman (he was only an All Star twice), but by all accounts he competed clean. Last night, Adam Copeland who performed for well over a decade as Edge in the WWE retired due to excessive neck issues. In the next six to eight weeks, we will be revamping our WWE list, and Edge will have a high place on it. Is he top five, top ten, top twenty? We think he should be ranked very high.

Is anyone really surprised? Rather than face what would have been a 100 game suspension for violation of the MLB drug policy, Manny Ramirez retired today from the Tampa Bay Rays. Statistacally, Ramirez has few equals. He leaves the game with 555 career Home Runs and a whopping career OPS of .996, and there is nobody that can question his on-field credentials for a bust in Cooperstown. We have inductions here that absolutely delight us, suprise us, baffle us and disgust us. What A Rush! Now we're talking. After a few suspect announcements for the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame Class, our highest rated Tag Team, The Road Warriors have been announced to the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2011. We had them ranked at #4, which makes two of top 10 (along with #3 selection, Shawn Michaels) selected this year. We were worried about this class....we are not anymore.

Well gang another Baseball Star retired today during the Spring Training Season. Mike Hampton called it a career and ended his attempt to earn a roster spot with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Hampton will not be entering Cooperstown, and it is doubtful that his support will reach the five percent in his opening year of eligibility. Boy, am I getting tired of writing about people passing away. However, I guess when you start a website that focuses on legendary figures, there is a good chance that this will happen on a regular basis. The latest name is known only to wrestling fans, that being, Sir Oliver Humperdink who was a long time manager in regional promotions and had a near one year stint in the WWF. The WWE announced its newest inductee to their celebrity wing which is Drew Carey. For those unaware, Carey was actually a participant in the 2001 Royal Rumble where he eliminated himself rather than face Kane. Carey did a couple of backstage skts on the Pay Per View, but beyond those two minutes talking with Vince McMahon and three minutes in the ring, Carey was never seen in the WWE again. We did not rank him on our Celebrity Inductee list, and we don't regret that decision. Drew Carey did entertain that night, but there are far more deserving celebrity inductees…
