Before we continue, can we state how much we love the hockey name of “Moose Vasko”?

Elmer “Moose” Vasko was a tough blueliner who played the bulk of his career with the Chicago Blackhawks.  Vasco was named a Second Team All-Star in back-to-back campaigns (1963 & 1964) and he would help the Blackhawks win the 1961 Stanley Cup.  In his two Second Team All-Star years, he was a top five finisher in Norris Trophy voting and in the 1965 Playoffs he finished first in Plus/Minus.  He would also finish first in Defensive Point Shares that year and is also a four-time All-Star.
