588. Goldfrapp

Almost a study in Electronic progression, Goldfrapp has created some of the most beautiful and sensual Electronica of the young millennium. However, what does this really mean for the Hall of Fame as Electronica has been largely ignored by Cleveland and is there any real reason to think that will change in the next decade?

Disturbed

A very popular band as evidenced by the fact that four of their albums debuted at number one, Disturbed became one of the most popular Hard Rock/Heavy Metal bands in their time. Ironically many Metal fans have dismissed the band as not “hard” enough, but as they found a very large amount of fans, clearly they have a formula that works for them.

One of the better Emo bands, the introspective Dashboard Confessional is led by Christopher Carrabba, who is able to use his angst to connect with his audience significantly better than most of his peers. We are not sure if any band who has been tagged with that Emo label will get into the Hall of Fame, but if one does, they could do worse than Dashboard Confessional.

Biffy Clyro

For a band that seemed to draw so much of their sound from elements of American Rock and Roll, it is curious how the Scottish band, Biffy Clyro failed to make even a tiny dent in the United States. Regardless, they did make it in the U.K., and should have a solid future in their homeland. Of course, we know what that means for a shot in Cleveland.
