Keane

Keane has been called that Alternative Rock band with “no guitars”, and they are also known as a very competent outfit that has been very successful without selling out. Although their sound is piano driven, they have a diverse sound and are equally capable of “rocking out” as well as dancing on the mellow side of the Rock rainbow. As they have had albums that have sold in the States (though far from the level of success they had in England) they may be an outside shot for a glance from the Hall.

188. Interpol

Does being a superstar on the Indie Rock circuit for a few years make a Hall of Fame band? Probably not, but for Interpol, they were very successful in their niche which realistically speaking is something that most bands can never claim. Still, if a Post Punk Revival band ever enters the Hall, they could do far worse than Interpol.

Gossip

A band championed by Perez Hilton, the Gossip is a lot more than a band designed to appeal to the LGBT demographic.  Led by the charismatic Beth Ditto, the Gossip was part Riot Girl, part Punk, and completely Indie Rock. Does this equal a Hall of Fame induction? Probably not, but we doubt that this fiery band could care less.

Good Charlotte

Led by the Madden Brothers, Good Charlotte emerged as a Pop/Punk band capable of mass appeal in the 00’s. Their popularity is waning as of this writing but their limited chances for the Hall of Fame likely lie on whether they are perceived more as Punk than Pop, as the former is certainly the more respected genre in regards to the Rock and Roll critics.
