Moloch

Moloch
We have admitted before and we will admit again. We are a sucker for Gene Simmons rip offs especially if they are on a cheesy and well-known television show. Now add the fact that the character, Moloch is played by Donny Most who was Ralph Malph on Happy Days, hidden messages on an album and Erik Estrada, you have a real winner!

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
CHiPs (1982)

Actor:
Donny Most

Songs you might remember:
Devil Take Me

Why you should vote for him:
Does Erik Estrada help here?

Why you should not vote for him:
It was as bad as you think it is.

Mitchie Torres

MItchie Torres
Camp Rock was a major success for Disney Television as it successfully used the top Boy Band at the time (The Jonas Brothers) to launch a new star in Demi Lovato. The young singer plays, Mitchie Torres, who in true Disney fashion has a dream to sing but can’t afford to attend “Camp Rock”. As this is a Disney story, we think you know how things worked out.

The Bullet Points:
TV Movies Appeared:
Camp Rock (2008)
Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010)

Actor:
Demi Lovato

Songs you might remember:
This is Me

Why you should vote for her:
Does launching a very successful (real) music career count for anything?

Why you should not vote for her:
What are the odds that the demographics that come here care about Demi Lovato?

Mitch and Mickey

Mitch and Mickey
In the mockumentary, A Mighty Wind, we could argue that the scene-stealers were Mitch (Eugene Levy) and Mickey Crabbe (Catharine O’Hara) who were a couple in music and a couple in love outside of it. They had a series of albums, but a tumultuous breakup between the two makes their reunion all that more fascinating for the concert at the end of the film.

What makes them a strong candidate also is that one of their songs (A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow) became the signature hit of the flick, which was a beautiful song, and was nominated for an Academy Award, which Mitch and Mickey performed live! We would not be shocked if Mitch and Mickey snuck in before the Folksmen.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
A Mighty Wind (2003)

Actors:
Eugene Levy (Mitch Cohen)
Catharine O’Hara (Mickey Crabbe)

Songs you might remember:
A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow

Why you should vote for them:
This was actually nominated for an Oscar.

Why you should not vote for them:
The Folk question that is asked of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is asked for this one too.

Miss Piggy

Miss Piggy
We can definitely argue that this counts. She was originally to be named Miss Piggy Lee, and she was a diva before anyone was using the word. She acted, she sang, and she was always a star. Considering how often this plush pig sang and performed, this seems like a relevant entry on the ballot to us.

The Muppet Show (1976-81)
The Muppet Movie (1979)
The Great Muppet Caper (1981)
The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984)

Muppet Treasure Island (1996)

This might be a muppet, but this is one of the most well known characters ever.

Why you should not vote for her:
Miss Piggy sang a lot; yet what is her signature song?
