Trace and Gina

Trace and Gina
Here is one we find fascinating. From the one (season) and done sci-fi show, Otherworld, the premise is that a family is transported into an alternate Earth with distinct provinces. In one of those regions, (Centrex) Rock and Roll never existed and the two teen siblings essentially the musical genre by replicating Rock and Roll standards.

Basically, they completely created pop culture in this region, and this is the only episode that those who watched the show remember. This might do better in the voting then you would think.

Tony Clifton

Tony Clifton
One of the alter egos of Andy Kaufman, Tony Clifton was a horrible and obnoxious lounge singer. That was the gag, as the Clifton character was deliberately bad and a parody of the Las Vegas B level lounge acts. The Clifton character would often perform without Kaufman even appearing, even opening for Rodney Dangerfield on two occasions. Clifton was played mostly by Kaufman, though on occasion his writing partner, Bob Zmuda would don the latex face and loud tuxedo.

The Tone Rangers

Tone Rangers The
Although we already knew that the A Capella genre would be heavily represented on the ballot, at this very moment we are realizing just HOW MUCH it is here! From the hit and miss film, The Break-Up, Jennifer Aniston’s brother (John Michael Higgins) led the “Tone Rangers” who practice at her apartment, much to the dismay of Vince Vaughn; who gives us a standard Vince Vaughn response.

The Break-Up (2006)

Actors:
John Michael Higgins
Gunnar Madsen
Karl Solis
Michael Winther
Eric Bradley
Paul Peterson
Sean P. Gorecki

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Is knocking out Vince Vaughn a plus? Sometimes we aren’t sure.

Why you should not vote for them:
Arrrrggh…. Another a capella group?

Tommy Gnosis

Tommy Gnosis
With the guidance of an East German transsexual, Tommy Gnosis becomes one of the biggest Rock stars in the world. Hedwig, the aforementioned transsexual molded Gnosis by giving him his name, writing his music and cultivating his image. How was she was paid by her new lover? She was paid with betrayal, of course, as he became a star and left Hedwig behind. Does someone in the fictitious Rock world who became a superstar qualify here; well, there are others on this ballot that can make the same claim.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001)

Actor:
Michael Pitt

Songs you might remember:
Tear Me Down

Why you should vote for them:
The music was good. Not many can say that on this ballot.

Why you should not vote for them:
There is only so far a cult film with a small audience can go.
