Pat McAfee Abruptly Retires

Generally, we don’t really talk about the retirement of NFL Punters, or Punters in general, but we do feel compelled to mention that Pat McAfee of the Indianapolis Colts has retired.
McAfee, who is only 29, was a very popular player amongst the Colts fans, both for his skill and for his quirky personality. He actually ranked third in jersey sales on the team. He retired from the NFL to join the growing website Barstool Sports.
The Punter is a former two time Pro Bowler and one time First Team All Pro Selection.
While we don’t see him as a Pro Football Hall of Famer, he is eligible in 2022 and we will be profiling him once our 2022 Football Futures are up.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate Pat McAfee on a great career and wish him the best at Barstool Sports.

Here we are in the National Football League playoffs but for us that it means it is time to discuss the potential class of the 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Finalists have been announced, and along with regular contributor, Spheniscus, we will go back and forth with each candidate and openly debate as to which player would be a worthy Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee.
Committee Chairman: Spheniscus, there are three Finalists who are on their first year of eligibility, LaDaininan Tomlinson, Brian Dawkins and Jason Taylor. Dawkins might get in this year, Taylor might get in this year, but Tomlinson WILL get in this year. I would bet my dog on that…and I really love my dog.

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame has announced their Class of 2017, which will be headlined by former Cy Young Award winner, Roy Halladay and former MVP, Vladimir Guerrero will be entering the Hall.
Roy Halladay was a star player with the Toronto Blue Jays and was with the team for twelve seasons, culminating in a Cy Young Award in 2003. Halladay, a potential future Baseball Hall of Famer, went 148 and 76 with a 3.43 ERA with 1,495 Strikeouts. He was a six time All Star as a Blue Jay.
Vladimir Guerrero began his career with the Montreal Expos, where he would make four trips to the All Star Game and earn three Silver Slugger Awards. As an Expo, Guerrero accumulated 1,215 His with 234 Home Runs and a .323/.390/.588 Slash Line.
Halladay and Guerrero are joined by Ray Carter, who was the President of the Baseball Canada from 2000 to 2016 and longtime Umpire, Doug Hudlin.
The Induction Ceremony will take place on June 24 in St. Marys, Ontario.
