37. Zach Hyman

Zach Hyman played the first six seasons of his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, but his career took off when he signed with Edmonton in 2021.

Hyman broke 50 Points for the first time in his inaugural season with the Oilers, and he rose that to 83 Points the year after.  Last season, Hyman scored 54 Goals, placing him third overall, and he was especially outstanding in the 2024 Playoffs, where he led all players in Goals (16), Even Strength Goals (10), Power Play Goals (6), and Shots (90).

If Hyman continues this level of play, we have a future All-Star.

Detroit lost a legend today.

Joe Schmidt, who played for the Lions from 1953 to 1965, passed away at 92.

Easily the best defensive player the Detroit Lions have ever had, Joe Schmidt was a dominating Middle Linebacker who became the team's defensive captain in 1956 and continued in that role for nine more years.

Joe Schmidt's loyalty to Detroit was unwavering. He never left as a player, and his unequalled toughness was a defining characteristic. His role in the last two NFL titles that the Lions won is a testament to his dedication.  The 1973 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee was an eight-time First Team All-Pro and was named the league MVP by United Press.

He entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1973.

We at Notinhalloffame.com would like to extend our condolences to Joe Schmidt's fans, friends, and family.

Yes, we know that this is taking a while!

As many of you know, we at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the top 50 of each major North American sports team. That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists and consistently look to update them when necessary and based on necessity. As such, we are delighted to present our post-2023 revision of our top 50 Dallas Stars.

As for all of our top 50 players in hockey, we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Hockey League.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles that are not reflected in a stat sheet.

Last year, Dallas went to their second straight Western Conference Final, but the result was the same in a Final Four elimination.  Last year yielded one new entrant and four elevations.

As always, we present our top five, which saw no changes:

1. Mike Modano

2. Sergei Zubov

3. Jamie Benn

4. Marty Turco

5. Tyler Seguin

You can find the entire list here.

Regarding the top five, Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin, who are #3 and #5, respectively, could not move up the list, though both were close to doing so.

Defenseman Miro Heiskanen climbed to #25 from #33.

Another Defenseman, Esa Lindell, inched up two spots to #33.

Superstar forward and potential future Hart Trophy winner Jason Robertson rose to #35 from #37.

Left Wing Roope Hintz reached #37 from #42.

The now-retired Joe Pavelski hit his zenith on this list with a move from #49 to #39.

The only new entry is Goalie, Jake Oettinger.   He debuts at #50.

We thank you for your continued support of our lists on Notinhalloffame.com.

Gaming is a massive $300 billion industry, which has attracted millions of gamers, artists, and musicians all around the globe.

And with the latest PCs, consoles, streaming platforms, mobiles, and tablets, playing games online has become even more fun.

But which games are the most popular, always remained, and generated huge amounts of profits?

Well, time to find out!

  1. Poker

Poker is an extremely popular game, both in offline and online settings. Many money game platforms use this game as one of their best betting games and even create tournaments of various scales.

Poker has a massive online fan base of over 100 million players worldwide and has multiple forms, including the most popular Texas hold’em and Omaha hold’em.

This game has a relatively young player base with more than 40% of its players in the 18-27 age bracket.

Although you can play poker for free, you can also try its real money game version and start your betting adventures in KWG Game, 91 Club, Winzo, and other legitimate money game platforms.

  1. Minecraft

Minecraft is one of the highest-selling online and console games of all time, and the developers have sold a whopping 300 million copies of it until now.

Even though it’s a block-based sandbox game, Minecraft has an extremely widespread fanbase containing players of all ages and cultures.

This online game gives you the freedom to create whatever you want. And you can share your creation with the rest of the world. Some players are so enthusiastic that they have created insanely big Minecraft builds, including a complete replica of Denmark (Yeah, you heard that right).

Many education institutes and companies are also using this game as it makes teaching coding and geography to kids easier.

Although many gaming companies have tried to replicate Minecraft since its 2011 release, none of them became as successful as this one. The Mobile version of this game generated over $82 million in in-app purchase revenue in 2023.

  1. PUBG Battlegrounds

PUBG is one of the most popular MMORPG games, which was launched in December 2017 and became an instant hit. This online game has sold 75+ million copies worldwide and acquired no less than seven Guinness World Records.

PUBG gets regular updates with multiple new maps, weapons, ammo, avatar, and many other features that set it apart from similar battle royale games.  Millions of gamers still play this game every day as its regular refreshing updates never let the game go stale.

The PC and console versions of the game have made over $4 billion since its inception in 2017. Add the revenue of the mobile version of the PUBG Battlegrounds to it and the numbers will shoot right through $13 billion.

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart is still going strong after 30 years of its first version’s release, and the same can be said for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Nintendo released this 8th installment of the Mario Kart series in 2014, which has sold over 70 million copies all around the globe.

This online game has 48 diverse ranges of tracks, your favorite Mario Kart characters, and a few other crossover avatars. It became an instant hit after the release of its Nintendo Switch version in 2017.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe received BAFTA’s Children’s Award and TGA’s Best Family Game Award while it generated over $4.2 billion in revenue so far.

Final Thoughts!

The gaming industry has evolved a lot since the first release of simple video games like Maze and Pong. And it’s showing absolutely no signs of slowing down.

The developers are releasing many games every year and some of them become quite popular just like PUBG and Minecraft every once in a while and attract millions of gamers.

The profit a game earns is nothing but one of the signs of its massive success.
