Does this rank seem high?

Admittedly it did for us too when we put this together but there is a reason why the New York Yankees have held on to the contract of Brett Gardner for so long…he is sneaky good.

Brett Gardner put up solid advanced metrics over his 14 Seasons, with excellent plate discipline and incredible speed.  Gardner has shown himself to be a “glue” guy of the team and for casual fans an unsung hero.  Gardner had an All-Star appearance, a Gold Glove, and a Wilson Defensive Player Award, though the most important accolade he owns is his 2009 World Series Ring.

Yankees fans have known for years just how good he was, and he collected 1,470 Hits, 139 Home Runs and 274 Stolen Bases.  He would be ranked higher on any other top 50 Baseball list.
