The story of Dave Nilsson cannot be told without specifying that he left MLB to represent Australia in the 2000 Olympics.  This was right after Nilsson was named to his first (and only) All-Star Game.

That is a cool story but for our purposes, Nilsson was a versatile player who played all of his 837 Games in MLB for Milwaukee.  This was still a very good run whereby Nilsson would have 789 Hits with 105 Home Runs in the Majors.
