Carson Cooper would silently be a force in the National Hockey League, where he would rarely be penalized and prove himself as a productive offensive force.  In his second season in the NHL, he was Point per Game player with 36 Points with the Boston Bruins and would put the puck in the net a career high 28 times, which ranked him second that year.  He would not hit that again, but after he joined Detroit, he had three 15 Goal seasons, and in the 1928/29 campaign, he led all skaters in Game-Winning Goals.

When you have a nickname of “Old Hardrock,” you get an idea of just what type of Defenseman Gus Mortson was.  From Northern Ontario, he was paired with another youngster, Jim Thomson, and they would become the ”Gold Dust Twins”.
