Playing his college ball at TCU, Sherrill Headrick was not drafted by either the National Football League or the American Football League in 1960, who was beginning their operation.  Headrick was eventually signed by the Dallas Texans, where in the first three seasons he was a First Team All-Pro and was a significant force on the Texans' 1962 AFL Championship.

A member of the prestigious Miami Dolphins Honor Roll, Bob Baumhower, played all nine of his NFL seasons with the team from Southern Florida.  A former star with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Baumhower was a five-time Pro Bowl Selection, and he would be chosen for an All-Pro roster (one First Team and four Second Team) in all of those years.  Baumhower was a key figure on the Dolphins defense in the early '80s that was considered among the best in the league.  

Frankie Albert was the 10^th overall pick in 1942 by the Chicago Bears, but remember, the year in question was 1942.  The Stanford graduate would serve in the Navy for World War II, and upon his return, he would opt to play for his home state for the Los Angeles Bulldogs of the Pacific Coast League, before joining the San Francisco 49ers of the upstart All-American Football Conference.
