ELP's music is of dated, but they were primo musicians, especially Carl Palmer and Keith Emerson.

Hard to believe that the so-called Rock n'Roll Hall of Fame has not yet inducted ELP or King Crimson who pioneered progressive rock. ELP broke musical boundaries with their pure talent as musicians and their showmanship like seldom few have in the history of rock music. Keith Emerson was the first to perform live with a modular Moog, the God of synthesizers . Yes, they were excessive, but isn't that what rock music is about. The RNRHF would much rather induct harmless music like ABBA that induct true innovators like ELP. Even ELP knew how to recognize talent when they positively reviewed Genesis.... Shame!

It is a disgrace these powerhouse musicians aren't in the Rock Hall yet. Thank you, Rock Hall & Jann Weiner, yes that's intentional, for waiting for 2 of the three members to pass away before considering them for the Hall. Keith was the best piano player ever, as far as I'm concerned. I'm a piano player & he was my idol because played it all--rock, classical, blues, jazz, progressive, etc. and he brought the Moog into the forefront of rock & roll. He could play backwards and forwards, behind the keys, behind his back, you name it. Greg Lake was "The Voice." His voice was legendary & he played both bass and guitar. Let's please get them in while Carl Palmer, an amazing drummer & one of the greats who is often mistakenly left off the top 30 list of great drummers, is still alive! You waited so long for the Moody Blues to get inducted that they were in their 70s when they did, & the great Moody Blues had to strain to sing. Shame on the Rock Hall. GET ELP IN NOW!

Quoting Greg Legakis:
I think the second option should be: Yes, but others deserve it first.

Then again, if you deserve to be in, you should be in. With this many years of eligibility, they're long overdue

It's been over 45 years since they really certainties but I will say one thing and I'm really getting back into EOP again they had about six seven top top top outstanding it's back in the seventies and they definitely deserve to be in the Hall of Fame tremendous synthesizer music and now the two thirds are going they need to be memorialized and put into the Hall of Fame :P

It's an absolute disgrace that ELP are not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Shame. They sold over 40 million albums were 2nd only to Led Zep in gross income from touring back in the 70's. Keith Emerson single handly brought the Moog Synthesizer to the fore front as musicial instrument to be played live on stage till then it ' 'was a studio only . It's amazing that the critic's complain about there over top show's where now every Metal.& 80's big hair band has revolving drums crazy lightshows & circus atmosphere ie:Motly Crue GNR and the 3 rock cord band KISS who used makeup to hide the fact that they SUCK as a band i mean seriously!!! !!!!!

One of the most talent laden 3-piece bands I've ever seen, it's a true sin they aren't in the hall already! Please, besides the fact that all three individually were among the very best at their instrumental ists in keyboards, bass and drums, they also were members of other super bands before and since. Please don't count the out because they were considered progressive rock, especially when you've included no-talent rap/hip hop into the Hall. Please add the NOW, since two of 3 members died last year. At least Carl Palmer could accept it. Thank you!
