The only professional sports league with a morality clause is Major League Baseball. It's why Pete Rose hasn't made it into the MLB HOF (which is ridiculous). There is no morality clause when it comes to being inducted into the Naismith Basketball HOF, which comprehensiv ely induces both NBA and college players and personel. Bill Laimbeer was a dirty player. He is also one of the greatest defensive players in NBA history. 13,500+ points and nearly 10,500 rebounds; 84% from the free throw line and almost 50% from the field, a solid 3 point shooter, in his first 13 seasons he missed 9 out of 1075 games, he had 1000+ rebounds 3 years in a row, he made 4 all-star games (Rodman who is in the Hall made 2, and had far less points), and finally, the Pistons don't make 3 consecutive appearances in the NBA Finals and win back to back championship s ('89 and '90) without him. And as far as morality goes...if Rodman and Bobby Knight are in (remember same Hall pros and college), BL should be in too.
