The only suspended player on this list, Jeremy Mayfield was on the track for a potential NASCAR Hall of Fame induction. With a series of wins, and top ten finishes, Mayfield had at least the fringe possibility of Charlotte, but a substance abuse suspension rendered him ineligible for competition. Hell, he is probably not even eligible for this list!

Elmo Langley had a very good run in NASCAR where he won two Sprint Cup races and would finish in the top ten 196 times. He may not have been a superstar in the world of Auto Racing, but he was a respectable figure and deserving of a spot on this list at the very least.
