89. Cecil Dillon

A three-time postseason NHL All-Star from the 1930s, Cecil Dillon is a forgotten star from the era.  The first-ever Ohio-born player in the NHL helped the New York Rangers win the Stanley Cup in 1933 and led the playoffs in scoring.  Dillon would also finish in the top five in Lady Byng balloting three times.

160. Alex Smith

Born in Liverpool, England, Alex Smith was raised in Ottawa and would become one of the best players ever to come out of that area.  Smith was a star with the original Ottawa Senators where he helped them win the Stanley Cup in 1927.  Twice as a Senator, he would lead the NHL in Defensive Point Shares, and he would do so again in his first and only season with the Detroit Falcons, who took him in the 1931 Dispersal Draft.  Smith would conclude his career with another season in Ottawa and then stints with Boston and the New York Americans.

181. Kelly Hrudey

While Kelly Hrudey was never an All-Star, the flashy goaltender was actually better than people remember.  Hrudey was never fortunate to play for teams that stressed defensive skill, and as such, he was in the top five in Shots Against four times, including facing the most in the 1988-89 season.  Luckily for his teammates (which happened to be both the Islanders and Kings, as he was traded during the regular season), he also led the NHL in Saves that year.

147. Derian Hatcher

Derian Hatcher was not the type of Defenseman who was going to light the lamp regularly, but he was the type of blueliner who was going to keep you from doing it.
