180. Iggy Pop

It seemingly took forever but after nomination after nomination the Stooges finally got into the Hall. With that said is their a chance for their charismatic front man Iggy Pop to get in for his successful solo work?

Following the breakup of The Stooges, Iggy Pop drifted into an abyss until he was resurrected by David Bowie. Together, they created some of the most interesting collaborations of the 70’s, merging his Punk ideal with the European Electronic music scene. Pop was back though his career went through peaks and valleys where his experimentations was either hit or miss. There is no doubt that Iggy Pop is a Rock and Roll icon, the question is whether his solo career has enough merit to get in on its own.
