In the Year 2525
Highest Billboard Position:
#1 in 1969

For the record, we admittedly love Science Fiction.  At some point as our site expands we may do a list of our favorite (and not so favorite) sci-fi flicks.  This however does not mean that Science Fiction should have anything to do with popular music; lord knows that Mr. Roboto has taught the children of the 80’s this lesson.

With the actual definition of a “one hit wonder”, Denny Zager and Rick Evans released “In the Year 2525” which was their prophecies of the world in the millenniums to come.  With only a few minutes to tell a story, abbreviated synopsizes like picking children from a glass tube, and a machine doing the work for you may allow for interesting images but mostly come of corny and clichéd.  Hopefully in the year 2525, there won’t be as much crappy music.
