gold star for USAHOF

36. Drew Stafford

36. Drew Stafford

Drew Stafford was a star at the University of North Dakota, and he left early to join the Buffalo Sabres, the team that took him 13th Overall in 2004.

Stafford had a promising rookie year with 27 Points, and the Right Wing would gradually improve, cracking the 50-Point plateau in both 2010-11 & 2011-12, and he had 31 Goals, a career-high in the first of those campaigns.  Injuries took him out of nearly half of the 2012-13 Games, and he was never able to regain the offensive output.

Stafford was dealt to Winnipeg in 2015, leaving the Sabres after a respectable 322 Points in 563 Games.
