Vernon Wells

Vernon Wells had some good seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, showcasing power and a decent glove and made the All Star time three times. His best season was in his Sliver Slugger season of 2003 where he led the American League in Hits, Doubles and Total Bases. Another couple of campaigns like that and we might possibly be talking about him having a shot to get a handful of votes.

Travis Hafner

Travis Hafner would win the Slugging and OPS Title in 2006 and for a few seasons with the Cleveland Indians would put up good power numbers and would bat over .300 three consecutive seasons. After the age of thirty, he would succumb to injuries and was not the same player but still holds the distinction of being the player from North Dakota who has the most Home Runs. Not a bad title to have!

Ted Lilly

A two time All Star, Ted Lilly had three consecutive fifteen win seasons and made the All Star Game twice. Lilly was never considered an ace, but for years was a valuable member of many starting pitching staffs.

Ryan Dempster

Known mostly for being a Starting Pitcher with the Chicago Cubs, Ryan Dempster was a two time All Star who amassed over 2,000 Strikeouts over his career. Dempster would win the World Series in his final year in baseball as a member of the Boston Red Sox in 2013.
