Sounds good. Here are my final thoughts.Move Up1) Paul Bearer should move up quite a bit. WWE considers him one of their top managers of all time. He and Kevin Sullivan could almost trade spots if not bump Kevin Sullivan to the 101-200 range.2) Madusa should move up a bit. Maybe even into the top 100. While she might have dropped the womens belt in a trash can on Nitro, WWE has long forgiven her. 3) Slick certainly needs to move into the top 100. He's another manager WWE has made clear they honor. They flew him in to Wrestlemania 23 just to dance and again on old school RAW last year. He certainly should be higher than Robert Fuller. 4) Lita probably needs to be higher too. While I think she gets overrated, it's obvious she's considered one of the greatest Divas of all time. It doesn't make sense for her to be behind someone like Austin Idol who never had a WWE run and is rather regional.5) Sable too will need to move up. While Sunny might have started it all, Sable took it to a level WWE didn't realize was possible. 6) Chyna also needs to crack the top 100. The height of her popularity far above that of the Barbarian. 7) Gary Hart might need to be bumped a tad higher. I've been listening to WWE Legends roundtables, reading books, and observing polls on WWE.com and he is highly regarded as one of the greatest managers ever. His only drawback is that he's dead and didn't work for WWE. However current voters on the HoF will probably remember him once they're back in Texas.
The Bushwackers need to be in the top 100. WWE loves them. They're even on the back cover of the WWE Encyclopedia with a bunch of legends. Probably one of Vince's favorite gimmicks.9) J.J. Dillon needs to be in the top 100. Not only do they love him backstage for his managing days but also he was head of WWE talent relations in the late 80s and early 90s. He's a lock for the hall and shouldn't be lingering around the likes of Manny Fernandez.10) Psycho Sid could stand to move up given that he headlined two Wrestlemanias and was WWE champion.
Move Down1) Adnan Al-Kaissie can move off the top 100. WWE.com recently ranked it's top 25 managers and he wasn't on it. He probably could have been, but it goes to show you that he's not exactly a priority inductee.2) The Nasty Boys are a joke behind the scenes. They can make the back end of the top 200 but not the top 100.3) Hercules had a solid run in the WWE but nothing stellar and now he has passed on which means you have to be something fairly special to get in. Plus he dropped Vince Jr on his head at a party and was released shortly after. So move him back a bit.4) Dino Bravo is another guy like Hercules who had a solid run but now that he's dead I'm not sure he's elite enough to break into the Hall. So at the very least move him down. 5) Bad News Brown had mild success in WWE but like Herc and Bravo is now dead. Plus he had some issues with WWE in terms of discrimination. I don't think WWE is looking to go out of their way to induct him. Gotta move him back or off the list.6) The Assassin Jody Hamilton sued WWE a couple of years ago for pulling out of Deep South Wrestling. They're not on good terms. Plus if they inducted him they'd probably induct his tag partner Tom Renesto (RIP). So that would put them on the dead list and I don't think WWE would induct them.7) Wildfire Tommy Rich had success outside the WWE but not in it. He's in the Bullet Bob Armstrong category if you ask me. He can be on the giant list but not so high up.
Same goes for Magnum T.A. He can be respresented, just not above the likes of Brutus Beefcake or Earthquake.9) Ron Garvin is way too high. Same as Magnum and Rich. 10) Jackie Fargo is another regional star who can be on the list, but not that high. 11) Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin is the same. Move him back.12) Like I said earlier, Kevin Sullivan is way too high. He probably has his best chance of getting in next year since it'll be in CWF territory but he shouldn't be above the likes of Bam Bam Bigelow, Big Boss Man, or Miss Elizabeth when it comes to WWE.13) The Rock and Roll Express is probably too high too. They can be on the list just not in the top 50. The Midnight Express will probably be inducted before them and even the ME has a tag team waiting list.14) The Dynamite Kid can stay in the top 100, but not the top 10. He was quite the entertainer but WWE has bigger fish to fry. 15) Mil Mascaras is another guy like Dynamite. While legendary, in terms of WWE he's really no greater than Abdullah the Butcher or a Wahoo McDaniel. So keep him in the top 100 but not so high. 16) Carlos Colon. See the last two. 17) Giant Baba. See the last three. Can stay in the top 100 but move him back.18) Gene Kiniski. See the last four.19) Tatsumi Fujinami. See the last five...though he might be better off around the 101 to 120 range.20) Spiros Arion. We discussed him earlier but I still say he's a 101-200 at best. WWE hasn't acknowledged him since the 1970s. 21) Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert should be pushed back and maybe into the 101-200 range. Lots of new people coming aboard and need to make room.22) Nikita Koloff had a great career outside of WWE but could stand to be pushed back.23) Poor Dominic DeNucci never gets any love. He can be pushed back.24) Rene Goulet. Classic but maybe not top 100 material.25) Mr Wrestling Tim Woods. He's dead which doesn't help and somewhat of a regional star. To make room he can be pushed back.
Fringe list guys. Toots Mondt, Jack Tunney, and Lord Alfred Hayes should be added to the top 100 right away. Toots maybe towards the back end of the top 100 since WWE likes to pretend Vince Sr did everything. Jack Tunney a little higher since he was WWE's gateway to Canada and served as a President. Lord Alfred should be higher still as a loyal employee for 12 years who was one of their backbone commentators interviewers, and sidekicks. As I said before, WWE made a video tribute for him on the RAW after he passed. They don't do that for everyone. Others from the fringe list who should join the main list include Edouard Carpentier, El Santo, Gory Guerrero, the Spanish announce team, Hiro Matsuda, Jim Crockett Jr, Jim Johnston, Joey Styles, John Tolos, Lance Russell, Paul Boesch, Sky Low Low, The Destroyer Dick Beyer, Tiger Mask, and Whipper Billy Watson.
Future list.I still don't think we need this list but instead should stick with a top 200 and the celeb list. However at the very least some guys need to join the main list. I mean The Rock and Eric Bischoff made the main list. So some of these guys should.1) Bill Goldberg. He can crack the top 100. 2) Billy Gunn and Road Dogg will be inducted together as the New Age Outlaws. But they can make the top 100 now.3) Booker T. WWE has no problem inducting currently active commentators let alone retired wrestlers.4) Brock Lesnar. If he ever wrestles again it will just be a one time deal. WWE recently ranked him in their top stars of the past decade. His career was short, but he did everything.5) Kevin Nash. Currently sitting around on a 5 year legends contract.6) Mick Foley. His contract with TNA expires this summer and he says he has no plans to renew. If Bischoff could make the main list, he can.7) Raven. He can make the 101-200 list. He's done with TNA.
Rikishi. He can make the 101-200 list.9) Shane Douglas. Could probably make the back end of the 101-200 list even though nobody likes him backstage.10) Trish Stratus. Probably a favorite for next years induction if they cant get Elizabeth in.11) Sabu. He's worthy of making the list. Maybe top 100.Given that WWE tried to induct Sting this year, one has to think they will try again once his contract with TNA expires again. That could be as early as next year. Had WWE inducted him this year, he would have bypassed the fringe list and top 200 list. Meaning these contracts end and begin to quickly for this list to keep up with. Adding him, Jeff Jarrett, Dudley Boyz, Great Muta, Steiner Brothers, the Undertaker, and Vincent K. McMahon wouldn't be the worst thing. If you still don't want to add the rest to the list then at least add Kane, The Hardy Boys, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Rob Van Dam, Christian, Kurt Angle, Goldust, Triple H, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, William Regal, Tazz, CM Punk, The Miz, Randy Orton, John Cena, Mark Henry, and Michael Cole to the future list.
OthersI assume Edge is going straight to the top 50. Batista has shrunk down to normal size. He's not wrestling again in the near future. If Rock can make the top 100 he should.X-Pac can go into the 101-200 range.Linda McMahon can make the list somewhere too.Chris Jericho may not be done with wrestling but he's in the Rock situation.Tommy Dreamer is done with TNA and can make the 101-200 range.Finlay was released from WWE and can make the 101-200 range.Teddy Long will probably be inducted while he's still smackdown general manager. So 101-200 range.Hisashi Shinma can be listed in the 101 to 200 range for serving as WWE president before Tunney.Harvey Whippleman can go in the 101-200 range.Danny Hodge can go in the 101-200 range because Jim Ross keeps pushing for him. Jushin Thunder Liger can maybe go in the 101-200 range.Dangerous Danny Davis can go in the 101-200 range for being a ref and promoting Ohio Valley Wrestling.Johnny Ace is currently head of talent relations and invented the stone cold stunner amongst other moves. 101-200 range.Willie Gilzenbeg was the longest serving WWE president from 1963-1978. He can make the top 200.Others that could be added include Angelo Poffo, Boris Malenko, Ed "Stangler" Lewis, Big Daddy V, Angelo King Kong Mosca, Bob Caudle, Killer Karl Kox, and Hans Schmidt.
So those are my last minute thoughts. Hope it helps. Comments?
