Sir Smoke-a-Lot

Sir Smoke-a-Lot
Dave Chappelle played two roles, the smaller of which saw him as the Rapper, Sir Smoke-a-Lot, which as the name suggests, was a heavy advocate of cannabis. Because we did not see him rap that much (or maybe because we ourselves were partaking when we watched this movie and don’t remember) it is hard for us to make too strong a case for this character, even if it is Dave Chappelle.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Half Baked (1998)

Actor:
Dave Chappelle

Songs you might remember:
Samson Gets Me Lifted

Why you should vote for him:
This is not exactly relevant but we loved Chappelle’s Show.

Why you should not vote for him:
The role was not necessary, just a chance for Chappelle to show off another character.

Simone

Simone
Perhaps this film was ahead of its time. From the film of the same name, Simone was a virtual creation in response to the issues of the selfish actress. Created by Viktor Taransky (Al Pacino) Simone becomes not only an acting star, but a singer who sold out a stadium (through the use of holographic technology) and thus qualifies as a nominee here. The film did not do well, but had it came out a few years later, it might have received an audience.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
S1m0ne (1998)

Actor:
Rachel Roberts

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for her:
This was ahead of its time and should be remembered.

Why you should not vote for her:
This was a “virtual” role.

Shy

Shy
Come on, we couldn’t have just one band with a Werewolf on the ballot could we? From the TV Series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, we have Shy; another band who made appearances at the Bronze. The lead singer, Veruca, met with an untimely end by the other werewolf (Oz) of course. The music was by real band, THC.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1999)

Actors:
Paige Moss (Veruca)
THC

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
We kind of thought that the lead singer was cute…when she wasn’t a werewolf.

Why you should not vote for them:
This isn’t even the best band with a werewolf!

Shower of Power

Shower of Power
Admittedly, we really don’t think this should even be considered, but if you took a look at our Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame, you can tell that we love the White Shadow, so when they formed a group based on their singing Motown songs in the shower and tried to get radio play, we couldn’t help but nominate them.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
The White Shadow (1981)

Actors:
Byron Stewart (Warren Coolidge)
Kevin Hooks (Morris Thorpe)
Timothy Van Patten (Mario “Salami” Pettrino)

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Really you shouldn’t. If you have love for this show, spread it to the Fictitious Athlete HOF.

Why you should not vote for them:
This was not a memorable episode, and it took place in their weak third and final season.
