Vanity portrays a gangster's mistress who is a drug addict in the attempted update/knock off of Shaft, "Action Jackson." Vanity was a natural as a slutty heroine obsessed woman who was in need of assistance, and she was allowed to perform two songs before. She would be saved by the guy who played Apollo Creed from the guy who was Coach Hayden Fox. Prince was long since done with her by this point.
