Honestly, we had no recollection that Roy Orbison ever tried to be a film star, and after watching "The Fastest Guitar Alive," he probably tried to forget that too. As Johnny Banner, Orbison played a Confederate Spy (who sang of course) who had a guitar that fired bullets. The movie was a flop, it stunk, and it cured Orbison of wanting to be a Hollywood God. Somehow though, we could see Quentin Tarantino making the premise work.
