As of this writing, Shane Bieber is the top arm for the Guardians, and the second most famous Bieber.

Debuting for Cleveland in 2018, two years after he was drafted (4^th Round), Bieber was 11-5 as a rookie, though his ERA was 4.55.  He shaved more than a run off his ERA as a sophomore (3.28), and added a first All-Star while going 15-8 and fanning 259 batters. 

Bieber’s best year to date was in the COVID-shortened 2020, where he won the Cy Young, and won the Pitcher’s Triple Crown (8 Wins, 1.63 ERA & 122 SO) and was also the league-leader in ERA+ (273), FIP (2.07), H/9 (5.4) and SO/9 (14.2).  Since then, he added an All-Star in 2021, a Gold Glove in 2022, and he enters 2025. under 30, but recovering from Tommy John surgery.  If he has a bounce back season, he will rocket up this list.

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present our post 2022 revision of our top Baltimore Orioles.

As for all of our top 50 players in baseball we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in the American League.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.

Last year, Baltimore went over .500, and could be a sleeper team in 2023, however none of their players cracked the Top 50, nor were there any changes.  We still want to acknowledge that we have counted 2022 into our rankings.

As always, we present our top five, which was not affected by the last season:

1. Cal Ripken Jr.

2. Jim Palmer

3. Brooks Robinson

4. George Sisler

5. Eddie Murray

Last year, Chicago was not able to make the playoffs, but they were contenders.  There were no new entrants, though one elevation.

As for all of our top 50 players in baseball we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.

Last year, Tampa was not able to make the playoffs, but they were contenders.  On a young team, this allowed, four new entrants on our Top 50.

5. Kevin Kiermaier

Brandon Lowe, moved up one rank to #15.

Of the highest four new entries, we have Infielder, Yandy Diaz, who enters this list at #29.

2021 American League Rookie of the Year, Randy Arozarena, debuts at #30.

An All-Star last year, Shane McClanahan enters at #43, and fellow hurler, Tyler Glasnow moved up two spots to #45.

Outfielder, Manuel Margot debuts at #50.
