Ellsbury was still Rookie of the Year eligible, and in 2008, he was third in ROY voting, while leading the American League in Stolen Bases with 50. 2009 was his second straight Stolen Base title with 70, and he would bat .301 while also finishing first in Triples (10). He was injured for most of the season after but rebounded with the most incredible season of his career.
In 2011, Ellsbury was an All-Star, a Silver Slugger, a Gold Glove winner, and had 32 Home Runs with 105 RBIs, an incredible total considering he never had a double-digit Home Run year. Ellsbury batted .321 with 39 SB and was second in MVP voting. This was Ellsbury's apex, and he played two more seasons with the Red Sox before signing with the Yankees as a Free Agent in 2014. With Boston, he would have 865 Hits, 65 Home Runs, 241 Stolen Bases, and batted .297.
