Originally ranked by Notinhalloffame.com separately, the Moondogs (Spot, Rex and King) have been grouped together and maybe it is this combination that could see these men have a shot at the WWE Hall of Fame.
Rex and King would enter the WWF under the guidance of Captain Lou Albano and would quickly win the Tag Team Championship there, defeating the popular tandem of Tony Garea and Rick Martel and were easily the most recognizable tag team in the northeast in 1981. Visa issues would force King (he was Canadian) out of the territory and he would be replaced by Larry Latham; a former “Blonde Bomber” (and tag team partner of Wayne Ferris, the future Honky Tonk Man) who was now Moondog Spot.
The Moondogs would lose the tag title in three months, but would form a hardcore like duo that do well in other promotions and would return in the mid-80’s, although at the bottom of the card.
