169. Dos Caras

The father of current WWE Superstar, Alberto Del Rio, was an outstanding wrestler in his own right. The masked Caras (and brother of Mexican legend Mil Mascaras) was one of the larger wrestlers in Mexico and considered by many to one of the best true Heavyweights to come out of Mexico.

Dos Caras competed in EMLL, but it was in the UWA that he achieved his biggest success. On three occasions he captured that promotion’s Heavyweight Title, and along with El Canek was among the top draws. The knock against Caras, who although was a very good wrestler, did not showcase that in the United States like his brother did. Had he done so, it is very possible that he would be the top contender for a true Mexican competitor to enter the WWE Hall of Fame.
