A two-time All-Star in consecutive seasons (2008 & 2009), Marc Savard quietly put forth a career where he accumulated 706 Points with 499 of them coming by way of Assists.  Savard began his career with the New York Rangers, the Calgary Flames, and the Atlanta Thrashers, and in those nine years, he never played in the postseason. However, in his last season in Atlanta, he set a career high with 97 points, finishing ninth in Points and third in Assists.

Carson Cooper would silently be a force in the National Hockey League, where he would rarely be penalized and prove himself as a productive offensive force.  In his second season in the NHL, he was Point per Game player with 36 Points with the Boston Bruins and would put the puck in the net a career high 28 times, which ranked him second that year.  He would not hit that again, but after he joined Detroit, he had three 15 Goal seasons, and in the 1928/29 campaign, he led all skaters in Game-Winning Goals.

Shayne Corson was a highly regarded player wherever he went.  Corson may never have been an elite scorer, but the veteran of 1,156 Games accumulated 693 Points over his career, and he was a team captain twice.  Corson was considered a gritty leader who played predominantly for the Montreal Canadiens but also had good years for Edmonton and Toronto.  The three-time All-Star also played for Team Canada in the 1991 Canada Cup (where he had 5 Assists in the tournament win) and the 1998 Olympics.

When you have a nickname of “Old Hardrock,” you get an idea of just what type of Defenseman Gus Mortson was.  From Northern Ontario, he was paired with another youngster, Jim Thomson, and they would become the ”Gold Dust Twins”.
