Without a lot of radio airplay or really support of any kind, My Morning Jacket became one of the great stars of the American music scene. With a mixture of Folk, Rock and other Roots based American musical styles; the group easily became one of the most genuine acts in the business and the indirect masters of the Neo Psychedelic era. Whether this will translate into a Hall of Fame birth (or just another spot on American Dad) is very much up for debate.

The time around the turn of the Millennium was good for Macy Gray as the world discovered her unique voice and R&B stylings. Despite her Neo-Soul sound, Gray had a strong Rock and Roll feel to her and intangibles that made her a crossover success. Recent albums have not sold as well, but her mark has already been made, though likely not deep enough to secure a Hall of Fame nod.

A respected figure in the Indie and Folk scene, M. Ward has developed a devoted following who loves his beautiful take on Americana. It is a sweet equation that has gotten him to a certain level of success, but is likely not to get him any further, although we suspect he is happiest this way.

Yes, he is eligible this soon! Lil’ Wayne survived from a place that musical stars don’t usually come from; a pre-teen novelty act. That was how he was first seen in the public eye which was as a tween Hardcore Rapper, but regardless of the ability, it still had a novelty feel to it. Wayne did not fade away, and became one of the most successful Hip Hop artists in his generation. Considering that he already has a vast discography already, Lil Wayne’s body of work should be massive by the time he is eligible. His induction could be more likely than you think.
