Thunderface

Thunderface
From what was said to be show creator and star, Brent Butt’s favorite episode, we learn of “Thunderface”, the band that Dog River residents, Brent, Wanda and Hank had in High School.
Their musical style was described as "a small animal caught in some kind of machinery," and their sole gig since 1986 was booked for comedic purposes due to the poor performance. Of note (which is huge for Canadians) this episode featured a cameo appearance by the Tragically Hip, which for those of you in the States who are not aware, is for many Canadians the most important band the country ever produced.

Three Times One Minus One

Three Times One Minus One
With brief appearances in Mr. Show and the film, Run Ronnie Run, we saw the R&B duo of “Three Times One Minus One” deliver their hit, Ew Girl, Ew. If for no other reason, they might deserve a vote just for their individual names of Pootie T and Wolfgang Amadeus Stallonies Von Funkenmeister. Seriously, do names get better than that?

Three Do's and a Don't

Three Dos and A Dont
Ah, the Sweathogs! The Four Horsemen of the 1970’s Sitcom world. In a two-part episode the Vinnie Barberino led group entered a talent show but slacks when he falls for a rival female performer (which may have been a stretch for Travolta). He eventually picked his “bros before hos” but the Sweathogs lost to a bird caller (seriously). Damn, we love the 70’s!

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Welcome Back Kotter (1977)

The Three Blazes

Three Blazes The
Inspired by his stint in the U.S. Army, Elvis Presley starred in G.I. Blues where he and two of his friends form a band while serving in Germany. The plot really doesn’t matter in an Elvis movie, as long as there is a lot of music. As this was a period where his music was decent, that is good enough for most people.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
G.I. Blues (1960)

Actors:
Elvis Presley (Tulsa McLean)
Robert Ivers (Cookie
James Douglas (Rick)

Songs you might remember:
Wooden Heart
Blue Suede Shoes

Why you should vote for them:
The music was good here.

Why you should not vote for them:
The Elvis films are not ones that people flock to watch.
