Have to admit; we forgot about Chipper Jones this year.  He just belted his 450th Home Run, but it remains to be seen if he can get that magical 500 number.  If he wraps up his career soon, did he do enough for Cooperstown?
Today we lost former Cy Young Award winner, Mike Flanagan who passed away at the age of 59.  Flanagan won the American League Cy Young in 1979 and finished his career with 167 career wins.  He may have never been a serious threat for the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, but he is a member of the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.  Flanagan was only 59 years old.
The Football Hall of Fame announced their two Senior Candidates today.  Jack Butler and Dick Stanfel were selected, and one of them will enter Canton.  Butler is on the outside of our top 100 and Stanfel is ranked at #54 and as much as we would like to congratulate both of them, we are feeling terrible for Jerry Kramer who was passed over again.  Needless to say, we are not pleased with that.

.....which makes us think.   Even though she is undeniably Pop, does this type of unprecedented success help her become a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee in the future?   Major Pop success has been a ticket to the Hall in the past.
