46. Greg Hardy

Greg Hardy arrived in Carolina as a 6th Round Pick from Ole Miss, and in his second season in the NFL he would secure a role as the team's starting Defensive End.  Proving to be an excellent pass rusher, Hardy would record 34 Sacks and 44 Tackles for Loss with his best season coming in 2013.  That year he was a Second Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowl Selection, but that would be the end of the road for Hardy in Carolina as the NFL suspended him for violating the league's domestic abuse policy and the Panthers opted not to sign him when his contract expired.

With all due respect to Billy Cundiff, we are guessing that the Washington Redskins wish they never released Graham Gano in 2012 in favor of him.

A 3rd Round Pick from Iowa in 2008, Charles Godfrey started at Free Safety as a rookie and would move to Strong Safety in his third season.  He would play there for three more seasons for the Panthers as a starter, but injuries took him out of action for most of 2013, and he would be released shortly after that.  Godfrey would record 11 Interceptions for the Panthers with five of them coming in 2010.
From UCLA, DeShaun Foster was a 2nd Round Pick in 2002, and while he never had a 1,000 Rushing Yard season he did have three straight 850 Yard campaigns (2005-07), and in the five years he played for the Panthers he had 3,570 Rushing Yards and another 1,129 from the air.  Foster would have a 33 Yard Rushing Touchdown in Carolina’s Super Bowl XXXVIII loss to the New England Patriots.
