Entering the WWE in 2005, as a psychotic Diva with clear lesbian undertones, Mickey James won the Women’s title from Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania 22 in Chicago. Although her character would turn face and be defanged somewhat, James was always considered one of the top female wrestlers not only in the WWE, but also in women’s wrestling in general. She would win the Women’s Title four more times and the Diva’s Title once before being released from her contract in 2010. It is still very conceivable that another high profile and lengthy run is in her future, so we will hold off for a bit before ranking her among the 300.

Gail Kim arrived in the WWE with so much fanfare, winning the WWE Women’s Title in a Battle Royal in her debut match. It might have been too soon, as her reign was not a success and she languished there for a couple of years. With an improved moveset, she would become the centerpiece of the Women’s Division in TNA, and often had the match of the night. Her return to the WWE, brought her…nothing…and considering how she left (eliminating herself in a Battle Royal), her induction to the WWE Hall of Fame would have to come from a stellar (and unlikely) third run there.

A better technical wrestler than 99 percent of any roster in the world, Nick Dinsmore, finally cracked the WWE roster after years of developmental as “Eugene”; Eric Bischoff’s “special” nephew. The gimmick was in poor taste, but for a solid year, he was over, and long after the fans turned on him, they all were in unison that he was a major in ring talent. If he had a persona with a longer shelf life, could he have been more of a candidate for the WWE Hall of Fame? Unless, he has another run, that is likely to be the case.

The son of 2014 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee Carlos Colon, Carlito Colon had a seven year run in the WWE that had some ups and downs. The Puerto Rican held the Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team Championship, and while capable of great matches, often seemed unmotivated. As such, Carlito had a long and good run, but was it great and Hall of Fame worthy? It would probably take another WWE run for him to get really on the radar.
