106. Linkin Park

They may have merged Rap and Alternative Rock, yet Linkin Park may have had a lot more Pop sensibilities that even they themselves were aware of. They struck gold in 2000 and though they have yet to repeat the success of their debut, they are a better band overall than they get credit for. This may not make them HOF worthy, but overall a band worthy of a look.

Lamb of God

You would think with a name “Lamb of God” that it would be a Christian outfit you were thinking of, but this Metal group was very much against that possibility. Lamb of God may have been the very antithesis of their name, and though the irony was quite obvious, does it equate to a Hall of Fame induction? Probably not.

Keane

Keane has been called that Alternative Rock band with “no guitars”, and they are also known as a very competent outfit that has been very successful without selling out. Although their sound is piano driven, they have a diverse sound and are equally capable of “rocking out” as well as dancing on the mellow side of the Rock rainbow. As they have had albums that have sold in the States (though far from the level of success they had in England) they may be an outside shot for a glance from the Hall.

177. Interpol

Does being a superstar on the Indie Rock circuit for a few years make a Hall of Fame band? Probably not, but for Interpol, they were very successful in their niche which realistically speaking is something that most bands can never claim. Still, if a Post Punk Revival band ever enters the Hall, they could do far worse than Interpol.
