Doesn’t it seem like the 2027 Eligibles have a theme of Emo bands who hate that label? Add The Used to that category.

Perhaps Screamo is a better genre to lump them in, or even just “Raw” as the band themselves views themselves at. The Used are a “raw” sounding band, a word we use in a good way. The fact that they are less polished and sick than the groups they are commonly associated with does set them apart.
