The Blue Eyed Soul duo of Daryl Hall & John Oates has the distinction of being the most successful duo in Rock music history. Known primarily for their Pop hits in the 80’s, it is often forgotten just how much their earlier work reflected their Soul and R&B influence. Although their work in the 80’s is not looked back as fondly by some it is a lot more textured and soul laced than given credit for. Considering their amount of success they are hampered by a current belittling of their style. Their chances will only improve should the style they popularized receive some creditability.
