Musically, they may have a Funk Metal type of groove about them, but categorizing Primus in any capacity seems so difficult. Their irreverent approach to music making may have made them one of the more misunderstood bands, though they may have been able to make a claim for a band whose fans were among the most devoted. Any remote Hall chance they have would revolve around the musical reverence of bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, whose talent is certainly Hall of Fame worthy. The odds are that the Hall just won’t get them.
