Hawkwind has been called a Progressive Rock Band, A Psychadelic Band, A Heavy Metal Band, A Space Rock Band and a Hard Rock Band. All designations seem right yet wrong at the same time. It could be this confusion about a very unique somewhat science fiction inspired band that although found many fans, likely befuddled even more.
