TNA Announces Their Own HOF

The owner of TNA Wrestling, Dixie Carter, has announced that they will be beginning their own Hall of Fame.  As the WWE Hall of Fame is a fairly significant part of our website, we are frankly a little curious as to how we should react.

The first inductee will be announced on June 10th, on their next Pay Per View titled "Slammivarsary" to be held in Arlington, Texas.  The WWE Hall of Fame has proven to be a moneymaker for the organization, and many wrestlers consider it to be an honor to be placed in that institution.  In fact, Ric Flair, who was then under contract to TNA was allowed to appear on WWE Television to accept his second (and unprecedented) second induction as part of the Four Horsemen.  TNA has even used existing WWE Hall of Fame rings as part of their storyline.

Of course this raises many questions.  First off, will this be only a celebration of TNA Wrestling or wrestling in general?  At ten years old, Dixie Carter's promotion does have a solid tenure, but is it one worth a Hall of Fame?  Frankly, and we are sure Carter knows this herself, that there really isn't a Hall of Fame like career within the confines of the TNA canon.

Will they have a physical Hall of Fame?  This could be a major step towards legitimacy as the WWE Hall does not actually have a physical space to call their own.  A true facility would give this Hall a credibility that their larger competitor does not have.

And of course the biggest question.... who would go into it?  Perhaps founder Jeff Jarrett?  How about Sting, of whom Dixie could beat Vince to the punch.  The same could be said about Kevin Nash.  Will they look at Hogan?  To us, the most obvious choice is Jeff Jarrett, who did found the promotion and wrestle in multiple main events for the company.

Now here is our question.   Do we create a section for this on our site, or do we wait and see how this plays out?  Personally, i am opting for the latter as there are far too many questions yet to be answered.   As always, it will be interesting.
