It was announced today that Dennis Rodman will be joining the WWE Hall of Fame.
Rodman may not have competed in the WWE, but during the Monday Night Wars, his impact was felt with his multiple appearances in WCW. At the time, Rodman was known for his rebellious persona in the NBA, where he was not only enigmatic but also the league’s best rebounder.
Rodman first appeared in WCW when he walked Hulk Hogan to the ring in his first match in the promotion in 1994, but in 1997, he joined Hogan’s New World Order, and made appearances on WCW Nitro, leading to a Pay Per View match with Hogan and Rodman losing to Lex Luger and The Giant. A year later, Hogan and Rodman beat Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone, and in his final WCW match, he lost to Randy “Macho Man” Savage.
Rodman’s matches were few, but they sold pay-per-views and added ratings to the program.
Rodman joins Stephenie McMahon, A.J. Styles, and Demolition in the Class of 2026.
We here at Notinhalloffame would like to congratulate Dennis Rodman for this impending honor.
