gold star for USAHOF

31. Patric Hornqvist

31. Patric Hornqvist

From Sweden, Patric Hornqvist played seven years with the Pittsburgh Penguins, his second NHL team after being a Nashville Predator for six years.

Hornqvist performed the same duty in Pittsburgh, as he would continue to park himself in front of the net agitating goalies across the league.  The Right Wing’s first four seasons in Pittsburgh would see him score 43 Points or more, with the first two seeing Hornqvist accumulate 51 Points each.  Twice with the Penguins, he would have double-digits in Power-Play Goals, with his 15 in 2017-18 placing him third in the NHL.

More importantly, Hornqvist has helped the Pens with back-to-back Stanley Cups (2017 & 2018).  He exited the Pens when he was traded to Florida in September of 2020.
