33. Jason Smith

Jason Smith was the Edmonton Oilers Team Captain when they made their unexpected run to the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals, and we think that is certainly worth something!

Smith would first arrive in a late-season trade in the 1998-99 campaign, and while he was not a two-way player, his defensive acumen was intense, as was his leadership. His high-water mark in terms of Points was only 20 (2000-01), but again scoring was not what he was there to do, and the fact that he had a decent +50 for what were not great teams shows how good he was.

He would leave the team when he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in 2007.
