30. Tomas Holmstrom

When you are taken in the 10th Round in the NHL Draft, making the parent club for a cup of coffee is usually considered a success.  Tomas Holmstrom, who was selected 257th Overall in 1994, would give the Detroit Red Wings 1,026 Games.

From Sweden, Holmstrom went stateside in 1996, cracking the Detroit roster during his first year in Michigan.  The Left Wing was considered one of the game's best screeners and seemed to be glued to an opponent's Goalie.  Holmstrom may not have been an elite scorer, but he had six 40-point seasons, totaling 530 points in a 15-year NHL career, all spent in a Red Wings uniform.

Holmstrom helped Detroit win the Stanley Cup in 1997, 1998, 2002 & 2008, with 97 postseason Points.
