An R&B group that morphed into one of the best Doo Wop groups in music history, the Coasters left behind some of the quintessential sounds of the 50’s. A look back at the Coasters may also find some of the most fun music of the era and few could put smiles on audiences faces better than the Coasters.
They were not exactly commercially successful, nor were they together long, but the supergroup known as Buffalo Springfield helped to lay the foundation for generations of Folk Rock that followed.

That statement was as bold as it was accurate, and their melodic efforts were some of the best that the 60’s had to offer. Considering the great musical decade of the 1960’s, that really says something!
